This Head of Technology Operations role sits within a large enterprise organisation operating a complex, business-critical technology environment. Reporting to the senior technology leadership team, you will take accountability for operational performance across infrastructure platforms and two enterprise applications teams.

Leading a large national technology operations function, you will drive operational maturity, service reliability and continuous improvement across the environment. The role combines strategic leadership with strong operational oversight in a complex, multi-site enterprise setting.

About the Role

• Lead the operational delivery of technology services across infrastructure platforms and two enterprise applications teams.
• Drive reliability, stability and service performance across a large enterprise technology environment.
• Oversee Level 2 and Level 3 operational support functions across infrastructure and enterprise platforms.
• Establish strong operational governance, service management frameworks and performance standards.
• Lead and develop a large national technology operations team of 35+ staff through multiple leadership layers.
• Manage major vendor relationships and ensure partners deliver against agreed service levels and contractual commitments.
• Work closely with senior technology and business leaders to align operational capabilities with organisational priorities.
• Ensure strong operational discipline across monitoring, platform maintenance and service reliability practices.
• Support the delivery and operationalisation of new platforms and technology services across the organisation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen operational maturity and service delivery.

About You

• Proven senior technology operations leader within a large enterprise environment.
• Extensive experience managing complex infrastructure and enterprise application operations.
• Strong track record leading large multi-disciplinary technology teams (35+ staff).
• Experienced overseeing national technology operations across multi-site environments.
• Highly capable vendor manager with experience managing major technology service providers.
• Strong commercial and operational awareness across service performance and delivery.
• Experienced working with senior executives and influencing organisational outcomes.
• Structured and disciplined leader who builds predictable, well-governed operational environments.
• Confident communicator able to engage effectively across executives, vendors and technical teams.
