Head of Information Security

We are looking for an experienced Head of Information Security to join a well-established Australian organisation operating within a complex technology and business environment. This is a broad leadership position requiring someone who can comfortably move between technical security, governance, risk and compliance while providing direction to an experienced team. You will work closely with senior leadership, help shape security priorities and provide pragmatic guidance across the organisation. Experience with ISO 27001 or similar security frameworks would be particularly valuable.

About the Role

• Lead and support an experienced information security team across key priorities
• Oversee cyber security, risk, governance, compliance and ongoing security improvement
• Help mature security frameworks, policies, standards, controls and related processes
• Partner with senior stakeholders to identify risk and drive practical security outcomes
• Provide clear security guidance across projects, change initiatives and business decisions
• Support the continued improvement of the organisation's overall security posture and capability

About You
‍

• Broad cyber security leadership experience across both technical security and GRC
• Comfortable leading experienced security professionals and providing informed technical direction
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS or similar security frameworks and standards
• Strong stakeholder management skills within complex and fast-moving organisational environments
• Able to communicate security matters clearly with both technical and business audiences
• Based in Melbourne or Perth and comfortable working onsite at least four days per week
