Application Portfolio Manager

About the Role
‍

Reporting to the Head of Applications, this key leadership role is responsible for:

• Managing and modernising enterprise-wide application portfolio
• Leading a team of 5-7, including mentoring and professional development
• Driving strategic initiatives in line with there 2030 Digital Strategy
• Overseeing application lifecycle, support, and vendor management
• Ensuring alignment with architectural and compliance frameworks
• Building strong partnerships across IT, business, and external vendors
• You'll play a vital role in simplifying and optimising systems, improving performance, and ensuring the application environment is fit for future growth.

What You'll Bring
‍

• Proven experience managing enterprise application portfolios
• Strong technical and stakeholder engagement skills
• A proactive, customer-focused approach to service delivery
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management, governance, and modernisation
• Experience leading teams and managing third-party vendors
• Familiarity with cloud adoption, agile methodologies, and digital innovation
• Healthcare experience is ideal but not essential.
