Cloud Engineer

Join a large national organisation as a hands-on Cloud Systems Engineer working across Azure and hybrid on-prem infrastructure. You'll design, implement and support critical platforms that keep business-critical services running securely and at scale across the country.

About the Role
‍

• Design, implement and support Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Manage and optimise cloud platforms for performance, availability, scalability and cost efficiency
• Support Windows server environments across both Azure and on-prem virtualised infrastructure
• Maintain and enhance cloud networking, firewalls, security controls and external connectivity solutions
• Contribute to cloud security, patching, vulnerability remediation and systems hardening
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting and root cause analysis across infrastructure services
• Work closely with internal technology teams to support integration, automation and platform delivery
• Assist with disaster recovery, continuity planning and operational resilience initiatives
• Maintain technical documentation, standards and operational procedures

About You
‍

• Strong experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure within enterprise environments
• Demonstrated experience supporting hybrid infrastructure spanning cloud and on-prem platforms
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, infrastructure security and platform governance principles
• Hands-on experience with Azure services including networking, security, automation and storage
• Experience supporting Microsoft infrastructure, virtualisation platforms and enterprise identity services
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability across infrastructure and operational environments
• Relevant Azure infrastructure or security certifications highly regarded
• Experience within large, multi-site environments highly beneficial
