Product Owner - Digital & Core

The Company

• An Australian based company with operations in the USA & Canada that is undergoing a transformation.
• Based in Docklands / CBD with hybrid flexibility.

The Role

• A 12 month day rate contract, this is back fill for a Product Owner who has been seconded onto another project. Hence, you need to be able to build rapport quickly and win-over stakeholders.
• Sitting within the Collections space (e.g. Debt recovery, but also pro-active conversion of customers), experience in this space or payments, is beneficial, but not mandatory. What is essential is experience working with digital & core / legacy systems and being clear on priorities and working out what the focus should be.
• Looking at both shorter-term wins as well as longer term strategy, you will be strategic thinker with excellent communication & influencing skills.

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in a Product Owner role in a large, complex environment
• Experience working in collections or debt recovery or payments is advantageous
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with proven ability to build rapport quickly and develop relationships
• Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating technical & business challenges
• Ability to balance short-term execution/wins with long-term strategy
• Commercial aptitude and customer awareness
• Tertiary Degree in Information Technology or other relevant field is advantageous, but not mandatory
• Industry Certifications such as Certified Product Manager or Scrum Master etc. may be advantageous
