IT Asset Manager

A large national organisation is looking for an experienced IT Asset Manager to lead the uplift of its hardware asset management capability. Reporting to the Head of EUC & Assets, you'll take full ownership of a team of 6 and drive meaningful improvement across governance, lifecycle control, and process maturity in a complex enterprise environment.

About the Role
‍

• Lead the uplift and ongoing maturity of hardware asset management capability across a large, complex national environment
• Own end-to-end asset lifecycle processes — governance, visibility, data accuracy, provisioning, repurposing, and secure disposal
• Improve CMDB integrity, asset discovery, and inventory management across the asset landscape
• Partner with procurement, finance, cybersecurity, EUC, infrastructure, and delivery teams to strengthen asset governance outcomes
• Support the assessment, selection, and optimisation of ITSM / ITAM tooling
• Lead and develop a team of 6 through a period of change, uplift, and continuous improvement

About You
‍

• Proven experience in IT Asset Management within large, complex environments with a strong hardware and lifecycle governance focus
• Demonstrated ability to build or improve asset management processes, controls, and operating frameworks in ITIL-aligned environments
• Strong experience across CMDB, asset discovery, inventory accuracy, audit readiness, and compliance
• Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders across technology, procurement, finance, and operations
• Leadership experience managing teams through uplift, change, and process improvement
• Able to step into ambiguity, deliver practical solutions quickly, and hit the ground running from day one
