About the Role
‍

This is a hands-on senior leadership role responsible for strengthening portfolio delivery capability across the enterprise program portfolio. Reporting to senior leadership, you will provide oversight, governance and delivery assurance across a broad portfolio spanning both technology and capital programs, bringing structure, consistency and visibility to a function that is actively building its maturity.

What You'll Do
‍

• Provide portfolio-wide oversight and delivery assurance across concurrent technology and capital programs, ensuring executive leadership has a clear, consolidated view of portfolio health, risks and priorities.
• Drive the continued development and embedding of portfolio governance frameworks, reporting standards, investment prioritisation disciplines and benefits realisation practices across the function.
• Establish consistent delivery standards and ways of working across program teams, lifting capability and creating accountability where it hasn't previously existed.
• Partner with executive stakeholders, program sponsors and business owners to align delivery priorities, manage dependencies and support evidence-based investment decisions.
• Extend portfolio oversight beyond the traditional IT boundary to include capital and infrastructure programs, bringing a broad, enterprise-wide lens to portfolio management.
• Identify and escalate risks, issues and delivery concerns constructively and early, providing an independent view of program health rather than accepting what program teams report.
• Build strong relationships across a complex organisation, influencing without authority and earning trust quickly in an environment where the governance function is still establishing its credibility.

What You'll Bring
‍

• Proven experience in enterprise portfolio governance, PMO leadership or delivery assurance.
• Demonstrated track record building or uplifting portfolio delivery capability in an immature or evolving function. You've done this before and know what good looks like.
• Strong governance and reporting skills, able to design and embed frameworks that give executive leadership genuine visibility and confidence, not noise.
• Experience operating in complex, regulated or mission-driven environments highly regarded.
