Cloud Architect - Azure

This Cloud Architect role sits within a major organisation undergoing a significant digital transformation. You'll play a critical role in designing the Azure integration platform that will support the organisation's broader application landscape, ensuring systems can connect securely, reliably and at scale.

This role requires deep Azure capability, strong integration architecture experience and the confidence to challenge existing designs across landing zones, subscriptions, resource groups and infrastructure-as-code. It is well suited to someone with a strong cloud engineering background who has moved into architecture, but still understands how platforms are built and delivered.

About the Role

• Architect and design an Azure integration platform supporting a broad application stack.
• Review and uplift landing zones, subscriptions, resource groups and platform foundations.
• Define scalable patterns for application integration across the Azure environment.
• Work across infrastructure-as-code, governance, networking and platform design.
• Partner with application, infrastructure and engineering teams to shape cloud architecture.
• Ensure Azure services are secure, scalable and aligned to enterprise standards.
• Challenge existing approaches and improve platform structure where required.

About You
‍

• Experienced Cloud Architect with deep hands-on Azure expertise.
• Proven experience architecting Azure-based integration platforms.
• Strong understanding of Azure landing zones, subscriptions and resource structures.
• Comfortable across infrastructure-as-code, cloud governance and platform design.
• Strong technical background, ideally coming from cloud engineering.
• Able to understand code and work effectively with engineering teams.
• Confident communicator who can challenge designs and influence technical direction.
• Strong understanding of how applications integrate across complex cloud environments.
