Security Engineer

As a Security Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining the stability, performance, and security of the organisation's internal infrastructure. Acting as a hands-on technical expert, you'll support enterprise systems, drive security initiatives, and serve as a trusted mentor to the wider team.

About the Role

• Manage and optimise enterprise systems including servers, endpoints, collaboration platforms, and identity services.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls such as MFA, endpoint protection, and access policies.
• Support risk management and incident response activities, including backup and disaster recovery testing.
• Act as a technical escalation point and mentor for junior staff, sharing best practices and guidance.
• Deliver and contribute to IT/security projects, ensuring smooth rollouts and effective documentation.
• Provide tier-3 support, while balancing secure practices with user-friendly experiences.

About You

• 7+ years' experience in systems administration, IT operations, or cybersecurity.
• Strong technical skills across Windows/Linux servers, identity platforms (e.g., Azure AD), and endpoint management.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as EDR, MDM, or SIEM.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 or Essential Eight.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities, with strong communication and documentation skills.
