Practice Lead - IT Business Transformation Recruitment

Emmbr is hiring a Practice Lead to lead and grow our IT Business Transformation Recruitment team. This is a rare leadership role with real momentum behind it, and the platform is already built.
This isn't a rebuild or a cold desk. Emmbr has invested in this market for 15+ years, with long-standing client relationships, a proven delivery model, and a clear runway for growth. In this role, you'll lead a Principal Consultant and a Delivery Partner, and set the strategy for the practice. You'll also have a genuine voice at the table in shaping how the wider business scales. This role suits someone who loves building real client relationships, wants to grow a function (and the broader business), and is looking for strong earning upside.
The role
As Practice Lead, you'll be responsible for the commercial performance and growth of the IT Business Transformation practice, while leading a high-performing team and strengthening key client partnerships.
You will:
- Lead and coach a Principal Consultant and a Delivery Partner
- Own and expand long-standing client relationships across transformation portfolios
- Drive new business development in target areas (contract & perm)
- Oversee end-to-end delivery across IT Business Transformation mandates
- Contribute at a leadership level to how we scale the broader business
What we're looking for
You're a proven recruitment leader who:
- Has built or led a successful contract and/or perm desk (ideally in transformation, tech, digital, data, or change)
- Is strong in client development, account growth, and stakeholder management
- Leads from the front and sets a high bar for delivery quality
- Enjoys building: team performance, process, and practice growth
- Brings commercial acumen and a relationship-first approach

- Protect and grow an already-performing book of business
- Deepen partnerships with key clients and expand into adjacent teams/programs
- Build a repeatable delivery engine with your Delivery Partner and Principal Consultant
- Grow headcount and market coverage as the practice scales
